congratulations

to the Carothers! We look forward to meeting your little one in March!

Also, congrats to Steven and Cecilia Hammond on the birth of Emi Claire on Aug. 20th at 5:11 am weighing 7 lbs. and was 19 inches long. Garrett is excited to meet his new friend!

Those we love....

So, I (Jill) read a friend's blog that I thought you all might like to read. Sarah married one of my college friends, Jonathan Stonecipher, whom we lovingly called "Stoney." He died 6 months ago and his son will turn one year old this weekend. As I read her blog, I just began to think of all the loss that we each face in our lifetimes. It can be very overwhelming and yet, the Lord our God, sustains us in our time of loss. I am praising Him now for the strength he is giving to Sarah and for the strength I know that he is and will give you during your time(s) of loss.

"Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his ; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture." Psalm 100:3

Be blessed and bless others today.

The Pribans!!

Our friends Jara, Ashley and Emma Kate Priban who are from East TN spent the night with us on Thursday night. It was such a treat for us to host them on their way back from Memphis. Emma Kate is absolutely adorable and is getting so much personality at 4 months! It is so fun to see how much she has grown in just a few months since we saw her last! Garrett adored "baaby kate" and gave her lots of kisses!! Watch out!

We had fun catching up and relaxing with the Pribans. They are such an amazing couple! Thank you for taking us to dinner at Picasso Bistro Pizzeria! We enjoyed the The Portabello & Brandon's Butcher Block Pizzas among great conversation (yelling across the table! lol!)and oohing over Emma Kate. Plus, we got to spend some time with Ashley's brother,David, who is a sophmore at Union Univ. right here in Jackson. Hopefully, we'll get to hang out with him more this year!!! He's got a busy soccer season coming right up!
Friday morning, we had home-made blueberry waffles (yep, my mom's famous recipe!!) for brunch! ....but no bacon (sorry, Jara, maybe next time. Wellll, maybe not...I don't know; we'll see. It's just that it's PORK!!! Whew....ok, enough stressing over it, maybe turkey bacon???) As you can see from the next few pics, G really liked the waffles!! Thanks, Ashley, for talking me into using the fancy waffle iron! I love it! We got it as a wedding gift and, honestly, it has been just a little too intimidating for me to use....until now!

HAPPY 4TH ANNIVERSARY, JARA & ASHLEY! Thanks for spending some time with us on your special day! We love you!!!

I AM

20 MONTHS OLD TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST 4 MONTHS FROM BEING 2 YEARS!!!!

It's almost time.....

for A.K. to have her baby!!!! We are keeping our phones turned on and answering every call from AK or Jay...which, as they will tell you, mommy usually lets voice mail pick up most calls. Baby boy Jackson is getting ready to come see us and we are so excited! There is a full moon this weekend so we are hoping for a little early baby!!

Here is G walking around the house having a wonderfully expressive conversation with his imaginary friends complete with laughs, "uh huhs," hand motions, and of course silence as he listens. It's adorable to watch him mimic us!!

We heard from Uncle Daniel today who said he and Heidi are coming to Tupelo in November for a visit and for Uncle Kenneth and Aunt Jenni's wedding. We are so excited to see them and to meet Heidi!!
So, you may be asking, "does G have on gloves?" Yes, he does. He found mommy's gym gloves and put them on and starting pushing his dump truck. Clearly, mommy doesn't lift weights like she should even though we own a set!! Isn't he just cute?

Little Boy

Yes! My mom finally took me to get my hair trimmed!! I don't think she could take the comments, "oh, she is so cute!" or "don't you think it is time for him to get a haircut?" or "he's just too pretty to be a boy."

SO.......HERE I AM :
