Wedding Bells will soon be ringing....

Ak and Jay, wedding bells will soon be ringing and you will be the bride and groom!!! wow! I hope to be walking by Nov. 10 so that I can walk with mommy down the aisle. If not, I'll hang out with my handsome dad while all the ladies dote over me. :) I was glad to see you all last Sat./Sun.

Caitlyn, I am excited for you to be a part of our family...but, remember, I'm still the first grand; you'll have to let me boss you around a little bit, even though you are older!! And please let me play with your eye glasses. :) Oh, and mommy says, 'hi and thanks for helping her write down everything at the shower. you were a big help!!"

I don't think that I have ever filled my calendar so full in my lifetime... thus far...here's a few things on my agenda this past weekend:

5:30 pm - on the road to Tupelo, MS
8:00 pm - arrive & eat
10:00 pm - bedtime (3 hours past my usual bedtime...I was a little excited about chasing Kitty & seeing Yana and AK)
7:00 am, Sunday - awake and ready to play!!
8:00 am helped mommy put AK's hostess' gifts together
9:00 am Daddy gave me a bath/ nap time
10:30 am awake again & ready to go to church
12:30 pm lunchtime w/ Yana, AK, Jay & Jay's family at Yana's (thanks for the carrot)
1:40 pm back to FBC for shower
2:00-4pm shower for AK & Jay...I'm sleepy; thanks, Daddy, for taking such good care of me)
4:03 pm back on the road to go home to Jackson, TN
6:00 pm arrive at the Fitts' for dinner & Community Group (mommy & daddy are leaders)
8:45 pm finally back home and ready for bed!!!!
whew!!!
Now, did that make you tired?!!!

My parents seem to be on the "go" all the time. It's fun, but I like to be home too!

Thanks for a great time and great food, Yana & AK. We look forward to spending a little more quality time with you this weekend. Love you!

Feeding the Ducks

Today, I went with mommy and daddy to feed the ducks. My eyes were full of wonder as I watched the ducks quack and swim towards me. We threw bread to them and were amazed how passively the ducks swam to retrieve the bits of bread. These ducks looked quite "healthy" and seemed to be well acquainted with the "throwing of bread" process. I wonder why they "duck" (no pun intended...ha.) their heads in the water upside down and flap their feet. Maybe I'll google it and tell you what I find later.

I hope you can come feed the ducks with me sometime. Mommy always saves the heel of the bread for the ducks. And remember, I love visitors!!!! Have a good day!!!

Corn Festival......

Oh, Nana, I really, really, really wanted to come to my first Corn Festival but my presence was needed in Tupelo at A.K.'s wedding shower. Instead, I thought I'd send you cookies. Mommy and I had a great time baking them last week. I hope you liked the icing!! I really wanted to taste it, but mommy said I needed to wait a few more months......Did she tell you that I found a tiny chocolate chip on the kitchen floor last Wed.? It was all over my fingers and legs, but when she found me chewing she could not find the chip. MMM!!! It was GOOD!!!! Did I tell you that I helped roll out the cookie dough? It was fun! Let me know how the festival was and what all you have been doing lately....I think you need a blog too!! :)

Well, definitely count me in to come to Corn Festival '08!! I'll be eating corn by then and ready to chow down with you. I'll also keep you on your toes as I will be running!! Hope you all had lots of fun!! Delaney, Drew, Bailey, and Ben, did you figure out the message I wrote to you on your cookies?? Let me know!! Oh, and Chloe, I hope you liked yours too!! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO MY FAVORITE UNCLE TODD!! We thought of you and hope that you had a wonderful day!!! Ask Chloe to share a cookie with you...and put a candle on it!! :)

FINALLY.............

I am still here...it's been a long time since I last blogged. I am now 9 months old and I have soooooo much tell you!! I'll start with updating you on my life today. I am loving life....keeping mommy busy chasing me around my stomping grounds (the house) and making both mommy and daddy so happy. What did they do with their time before there was me??? So, you may be asking, "what new things are you doing, Garrett?" Let's see. I have been crawling quite well since the end of July. I learned this summer while in Sewanee, TN. I love to stand up and grab everything in site, help mommy fold clothes and unload the plastics in the kitchen. I jibber jabber often....trying to say, "danger" and "thank-you." I sign thank you and more when I'm in the mood. I like to wave "bye" and say it to a select few. I'm getting bigger and bigger...although I can still wear 6 month clothing. My fav. songs are Itsy Bitsy Spider and Old Mcdonald had a Farm. I like to play Peek-a-Boo....and recently began initiating! My daddy plays all kinds of fun games with me...even spaceship and motor-something when I'm in my carrier and ready to go for a ride in the car. We have fun!! Well, that's all for today. I'll try to post about the last few months within the next few weeks to catch you up on my life! Thanks for reading! Love you all!
