Oh, what fun in Tupelo!

NOTHING COMPARES TO A DAY WITH YANA AT SCHOOL...and "jogging" for a great cause!!!
G and I arrived in Tupelo Thursday evening. After a delicious dinner prepared by Yana, cousin Kelso, AK, and Jay came to see us! We enjoyed playing...and eating more food, of course!!!
Friday, Garrett and I began our day with a simply breakfast and playtime at Yana's house before visiting Yana at the elementary school where she is the Media Specialist, aka: Librarian (mom, did I get that title right?). We were in for a great time because today the students were walking for a great cause - to combat obesity in children. G and Yana walked and "jogged" according to Garrett. There was even Elvis music playing which kept the students treking along! What a beautiful day for walking!
Still "jogging"....racing to the end! As all the other children lined back up in their classes, G kept looking around for his class!! Too cute!! He told Yana as they were running, " I a children! " He definitely doesn't see himself as 'just' 2 !!!!
How sweet they were to give him water and a medal; after all he did complete all four rounds walking! Here are a few clips of G at school.

Next, we went to AK and Jay's house to visit with Uncle Daniel and Heidi, who had been in Tupelo for a week visiting friends and family.

G warmed up quickly and showed us how much he likes his Uncle Daniel! He even cried when he couldn't find him around the house (he had gone into his bedroom and closed the door)...G came to me crying for Daniel! How sweet!

Jay, AK, Kelso, G and I went to Sweet Peppers Deli for a mid afternoon snack. Here is Kelso and G dancing to the sound of the music there! How fun!

We also had a great time Saturday cooking out and visiting briefly with Uncle Kenneth and Aunt Jennie. I didn't do a great job of taking pics the rest of the weekend, so we'll have to update with more pics from AK's camera soon!! Kenneth, we are so sorry that you are sick and we hope you are feeling much better now!!! We look forward to seeing you and Jennie again! Oh, and also, a big CONGRATULATIONS on the upcoming arrival of your baby girl!!!!!! We can't wait to buy pink!

Oh, and Kelso's christening was Sunday so we'll have to get those pics up asap!!!!

Thank you,Daniel and Heidi, for coming to visit. We enjoyed spending QT with you! We miss you dearly and are so thankful for the times we do get to see you!! We hope to come out to Colorado sometime in the near future to visit YOU!! Here we are at the Memphis airport just bf we got run away by the security guards! (36 weeks pregnant here!!)
